JULIA'S GARDENING TIPS

TIPS FOR NOVEMBER

FLOWERS

Remove all summer bedding plants and plant autumn pansies and bulbs for the spring

Weed your borders regularly and mulch with bark or gravel.  This will help prevent weed seedling from growing back and the mulch or gravel will stop the water from evaporating from the soil

Cut back herbaceous plants and tidy borders for the winter but keep some areas long for the insects and for the hedgehogs to hibernate.

Time to sow Yellow rattle for the wild flower meadows

Start making plans for those winter projects!

LAWNS
