Fund-raising Events.

Pitlochry in Bloom organise a busy calender of Fund raising events throughout the year to supplement sponsorship from businesses.

Would you buy anything from these ladies? Our most successful fund raisers over the past 13 years has been the Easter Chickens & Baskets which local ladies knit for us in winter. Amazingly our knitters have raised over 12K since we started knitting using up leftover wool! We are very grateful indeed to all our local knitters who support us and the local businesses who buy the baskets from us. We annually raise a £1,000 from this and this goes on spring bulbs to enhance the town.

We try to involve as many people from the community as possible, so even those who cannot help with the gardening can feel involved and contribute to our efforts.

We host a variety of events throughout the year including a Kinnaird House Winter lunch, Soup & Sandwich Lunch, Green Park Coffee Morning, Quiz Night, Thrift Shop, Ceilidh at Bells Blair Athol Distillery, Secret Gardens Open Day and stalls selling strawberries & cream & popcorn at Pitlochry Games Day and the British Pipe Band Championships.

We now annually generate around 20K which is re-invested in enhancing the town, with the colossal amount raised for the Armoury Park, we have probably raised well over £500,000 in Pitlochry since we began, no mean feat for such a small group of people.
